A SUBTLE SHIFT IN BALANCE, A NEW WAY OF SEEING CUTLERY

In 2011, they won first prize in the “Posate&colore” competition, promoted by Pinti Inox and open to students and graduates in Industrial Design at the University of Brescia. Their project began with a practical question: how much can a familiar object change while remaining immediately recognisable?

The answer took shape in the Led collection, where the knife leaves its traditional position and stands upright on the table. 18/10 stainless steel, ABS handles and colour create a bold graphic statement, while the “standing knife” transforms a functional solution into a subtle theatrical gesture. Not a mere exercise in form, but an intelligent way to introduce surprise where there seemed to be nothing left to reinvent.
