Nick Munro’s career began with an unexpected twist: a mattress spring transformed into an egg cup. An idea that already contained the essence of his design method. Trained in both mechanical engineering and design, Munro observes structures, mechanisms and everyday objects, freeing them from their intended purpose to imagine new ones—often more elegant and surprising.

Steel, glass, porcelain and wood become materials through which he creates objects that are rigorous, yet never rigid. In his tableware and barware collections, professional functionality meets an almost sculptural presence: every form is designed to perform well, endure over time and introduce an intelligent departure from the ordinary into everyday life.
