The 2021 Apple Tree Flat Shiraz from Logan Wines originates from the New South Wales Central Ranges wine region, one of Australia's most renowned areas for the Shiraz grape. In the glass, it displays a bright crimson color, revealing a rich and engaging aromatic profile. On the nose, intense notes of raspberry, plum, and acacia emerge, accompanied by spicy nuances of licorice, black pepper, and cinnamon, blending into a refined and captivating bouquet.
On the palate, it is a dry, velvety, and harmonious red, with full body and soft tannins that complement the lively acidity perfectly. The palate is dense and enveloping, with a well-balanced structure that opens to a long, persistent finish, where notes of ripe fruit and sweet spices return.
Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and subsequent aging on the lees for 12 months, enhancing complexity and depth. This approach allows the wine to maintain freshness and aromatic clarity, combining the typical power of Shiraz with surprising elegance.
