Cinque Terre DOC 2024 Vino Estremo - Forlini Cappellini
The Cinque Terre DOC 2024 Vino Estremo by Forlini Cappellini is a dry white wine that embodies the magic of heroic Ligurian viticulture. Made from vines that climb between 50 and 600 meters above sea level, on terraces overlooking the sea supported by dry stone walls, this wine expresses a unique connection to the Cinque Terre territory. The blend, composed of Bosco (50%), Vermentino (25%), and Albarola (25%), is hand-picked in the second half of September from vines between 10 and 60 years old. In the cellar, the skins are left to macerate on the must to enrich the aromatic profile; fermentation takes place off the skins at a controlled temperature and is followed by a minimum of 5 months of aging on the fine lees in stainless steel, which lends complexity and structure. In the glass, it appears an intense straw yellow with golden-green reflections, brilliant and crystalline. On the nose, it offers bold and persistent aromas, elegant and refined, with distinct hints of wildflowers, broom, honey, and citrus notes. On the palate, it is dry, warm, and enveloping, with perfectly balanced freshness and savory flavors, and a long, persistent finish that faithfully recalls the aromas. A wine of great typicity and charm, it pairs splendidly with fish, shellfish, seafood, and fresh cheeses. An authentic expression of extreme viticulture and dedication to the terroir.
