Tenute Sella's Porfidi Bramaterra DOC 2017 comes from the most suitable vineyard on the Villa del Bosco estate, on porphyry volcanic soils that decisively define the wine's character. The blend of Nebbiolo, Croatina, and Vespolina is vinified separately and then assembled in this selection that focuses on precision, vigor, and aging potential. The long maceration of approximately 45 days and the 36-month aging in French oak build a strong, never chaotic, structure supported by a strong mineral component. The palate is dense, continuous, and well-sculpted, with austere elegance and great stamina. A high-hill Bramaterra that combines depth, rigor, and personality, clearly conveying the character of the porphyries of Alto Piemonte.

Tenute Sella preserves one of the noblest histories of Alto Piemonte. Since 1671, the family has tended vineyards in Lessona, ancient lands born from marine sands and suited to producing red wines of great finesse. Quintino Sella's toast with a Rosso Lessona in 1870 recounts an identity that spans Italian history. With 23 hectares of vineyards, the winery preserves a rare winemaking heritage, built on memory, elegance, and family continuity.
