The 2019 Syrah Dahr El Baydar from Château Trois Collines is a wine that expresses the charm and strength of the Lebanese terroir. The vineyards are located on the Dahr El Baydar plateau, at approximately 1,800 meters above sea level, in a privileged position that benefits from significant temperature variations and a unique microclimate, producing grapes with extraordinary aromatic complexity.
Made from pure Syrah grapes, this red stands out for its intense and deep color. On the nose, it reveals an elegant bouquet of ripe black fruits, blackberries, and currants, enriched with spicy notes of black pepper, dark chocolate, and subtle smoky nuances that underscore its character. Aged in French oak barrels, it lends roundness, balance, and a silky tannin structure, without overshadowing the wine's fresh, mineral essence.
On the palate, it is structured and harmonious, with velvety tannins and a pleasant persistence that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose. Its elegance and balance make it the perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, game, roasts, and aged cheeses, but it also surprises with spicy, Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine.
